MUSINGS OF ME
Traffic, Transit, Technology & TeaWelcome to my corner of the web. Here, I share observations on modern mobility, urban planning, hands-on technology, and the quiet clarity found over a good cup of tea.
As an observer of both physical and digital systems, I write about the relationships between transit networks, traffic patterns, and the communities they serve. You’ll also find regular deep dives into Linux, web infrastructure, open-source tech, and spatial data/GIS; mapping our way toward a more connected, efficient future.
Because as any Starfleet officer would tell you, knowing your coordinates is half the journey.

Samsung Unplugged
On August 11th Samsung held its annual “Samsung Unpacked” event. I was mostly fixated on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4. I particularly like how their flip phone is made. Feeding into my retro tech need for a call back to yesteryear, it seems Samsung has a hit with me....

Japan Still Has A Lot To Teach Us About Transit

Gentrifying My Old Hood
So gentrification is the process whereby the character of a poor urban area is changed by wealthier people moving in; maybe by changing the housing, and the types of businesses in an area. So why do I talk about gentrification? I grew up in the Don Mills area,...
